At Big House Church we know that there is value in gathering in rows and in circles. When we gather Sunday morning we are refreshed by the Presence of God and renewed with the People of God. There is so much joy, worship, celebration and edification when we gather together and prepare for another week of living out our mission to Follow Jesus. We love Sunday mornings!
We also value doing life together in circles. In places where we know one another on a deeper level. Where community is built and experienced and no one feels alone. Our Small House Churches are such places. Check out our network of Small House Churches and find one where you can connect, grow, serve and do life with others who are passionate about following Jesus. We are all better together.
Big House Church is a CHURCH PLANT
That doesn’t mean a fern, flower or a ficus. It means that we are a new church establishing ourselves (planting ourselves) in our community. Big House doesn’t have just one or two CHURCH PLANTERS (though we have trained and competent leaders) we are all planting this church together. When you join the mission of BHC to ‘follow Jesus and change the world with the Gospel one household at a time’ you become one of our many church planters who are making a forever difference.

our vision
The city of Houston, with over 655 square miles, 2.3 million residents and a people who speak over 145 different languages is in great need of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have a vision to be a people who make a forever difference in our great and growing city. It starts with gathering and praying together and seeking what God is doing for the people He already loves. It continues by personally and corporately growing in the grace of God and getting soaked in the Gospel of Jesus. It is affected by the actions, steps and risks we take to show this Gospel to the watching world around us.
Big House Church began public gatherings September 8, 2019. With a core of committed families, individuals and teams we stepped out to BRING and BE the Gospel presence in our city. It is our conviction that BIG church and small church go very well together. The church continues to grow bigger as more people hear and respond to the Gospel and the church is at its best when care for the individual is a priority and genuine discipleship is done well. At Big house we are committed to grow our big gatherings and committed to building selfless missional communities full of people who are growing more and more like Jesus.
